Special Olympics

"Through the power of sport, Special Olympics strives to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people."
That's one of the first lines you will find at the Special Olympics' website. If I hadn't had the experience of coaching Special Olympics tennis, I would have read that statement to mean something entirely different than how I read it now.

Even Serena Williams admits that Sloane Stephens "...could be the best in the world someday." I agree. And not only the best womens' tennis player in the world but the best example of sportsmanship and class, both on and off the court.
