Just when I thought I'd seen it all, I catch a 60 Minutes segment on CBS featuring Robotic Prosthetics. A few years ago, my daughter had talked about a monkey controlling a robotic arm with its mind. I remember her brother and me being completely awed by this breakthrough, but for some reason didn't make the connection between a monkey doing it and a human being being able to do it. Aloe

"Get the aloe!" is probably the most common phrase heard around my house growing up. My parents raised us all (9 kids) with an approach to health that included almost never going to the doctor, lots of bee pollen and cod liver oil, and Sunday visits to the ashram after church to practice Yoga and eat macrobiotic foods. Health issues were treated "naturally". I barely recall the tiny little orange "baby aspirin", but that's pretty much the extent of the contents of the medicine cabinet in our home. Read more [...]

Not everyone wants or needs a personal trainer but if you do, a visit to Dave Trujillo's website at www.ptxdt.com is a good start. I have never been trained by Dave, but I know him personally and am so impressed by this guy. I've seen him work with clients and I've seen the results he's had. Dave is the real deal. And don't let the current photo of Dave fool you - yes, he's as tough as they come, but he's also very kind and a total family man, the consummate gentleman.
