St. Jeanne de Lestonnac chapel at the Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula, California is my favorite spot in the city. The chapel is situated right in the middle of wine country and has views that must make it hard to focus when mass is going on. I don’t go to mass here, but on occasion I will drive or ride my bike to this beautiful place and just sit. There are many places to do this outside the chapel and of course, inside the chapel there is lots of seating. Photos here don’t really show the beauty. You have to see it for yourself.
Sometimes, like today, a nun will come into the chapel and sit too. For some reason, this is very soothing to me. Maybe because I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school and have very fond memories of the nuns.
If you’re local or visit the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country, don’t hesitate to contact me for information regarding the area. I highly recommend you check out the chapel. It’s on DePortola Road just after Danza de Sol Winery.

When are masses?
Hi Bonnie, I have not attended mass at St. Jeanne’s. I only go when no one else is there. Except maybe a nun or two.
Jean
They only offer one mass on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Thank you for the info Crystal!
