MICHEL RESTAURANT DEL BURGO is a self-described “semi-gourmet restaurant”. The only reason I would agree this restaurant warrants this representation is because the friendly, welcoming staff creates a feeling of comfort and warmth from the moment you walk in the door. In every way, this is a very high quality restaurant and one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. With its lovely terrace and unique view of the pool, it is situated in the Hotel 111 near Carcassonne, France. This stunning hotel was completely decorated by the owner and it is obvious everywhere you look that no detail was left to chance. Our 5-course meal was served seamlessly by the highly-trained staff, and the dessert, featured in the photo, was one of the best I have ever had. The restaurant boasts a menu that changes seasonally. We visited in May, and I can’t wait to go back and experience this restaurant in a different season. Although I did not have the pleasure of staying as an overnight guest, I would recommend this hotel based solely on what I experienced at this incredible restaurant. An evening I will never forget!
