No surprise this wonderful restaurant made Bon Appetit’s list of best new restaurants. Forget about getting in on a weekend without a reservation. I made our reservations for a Tuesday night months in advance and the place was full when we got there and remained so until we left!
Chef and Nashville-native Julia Sullivan’s temple to all things seafood, named for her grandmother and her grandfather, Edgar, a redhead, is a hot spot in the Germantown neighborhood of Nashville. Their happy hour seems to be quite popular for locals. Here’s a photo of the bar.
Service is comfortable and seamless. Food is quite good. (Have the oysters.) The wine list is great and the atmosphere is light, airy, and of course beautiful. I counted more females working in the kitchen than males. This is something I have never seen before. In my life.
Here’s a great Bon Appetit mag article which will tell you everything you need to know:

Here’s are a couple of the dishes my group and I loved! The Octopus and the Roasted Carrots. And the pic of the oyster was Henrietta Red’s feature at an event hosted by Bon Appetit at White’s Mercantile in Nashville.
It was yummy!
So glad you enjoyed it!
