If you have the opportunity to visit Belfast, Maine, I highly recommend you don’t miss having at least one meal at Chase’s Daily. This restaurant is unique in that it is all vegetarian but also the restaurant creates delicious meals from produce, herbs, and ingredients all grown at the family farm.
But the best part about this restaurant to me is that 5 days a week, May through November, a truck arrives around 11:00 am and the most picture-perfect produce is sold right there in the restaurant. The produce is so beautiful it almost looks fake! Our meal was great, but the produce we got to see and purchase is some of the best locally-grown organic veggies I have ever eaten. It’s worth it to go just to see this fresh produce in person.
