Caunes-Minervois, France

imageimageimageimageCaunes-Minervois is a small medieval town in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. If you go, make sure you plan to take a guided tour of the 8th century abbey. (As I type this, I am trying to remember the name of the young lady that guided us through this impressive historical monument. When I remember, I’ll let you know because you will definitely want to request her as your guide. You’ll see why.) When you leave the abbey, take a walk through the streets and simply enjoy the surprises you find along the way. All of the photos you see here were taken with my iPhone. There is literally a photo-op around every corner. But watch where you’re going- I’m still not sure how cars are able to maneuver the quaint little streets. But they do.
