Bachata Nights with Carlos

The day I met Carlos, we became instant friends. I had just finished teaching a Yoga class and he came into the room and introduced himself as someone who wanted to start teaching dance. One of the people in the class asked him to show some moves and he instantly obliged. It was obvious he was a gifted dancer, but as we all know, when someone is good at something, it does not necessarily mean they can teach. As a matter of fact, it’s been my experience that it is usually the exact opposite.

I’ve watched and experienced Carlos teach all sorts of dance styles to all sorts of people, including children. In addition to the fact that children absolutely love him, here are a few more observations I’ve made about Carlos the teacher and Carlos the person- First, and probably the most apparent thing about Carlos is that he loves life. He has an energy about him that just draws people to him. He has a way of creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable which makes it easier for those who might be a bit intimidated when faced with anything new such as dance moves. Another thing I’ve noticed about Carlos is that he is experiencing what most of us can only dream of- he is doing what he loves. He loves to dance. And he loves to teach. He is very kind. And polite. He can teach anyone how to dance. Including me!

If you want to have some real fun, put on your dancin’ shoes and just show up on Fridays in Temecula at House Bar & Grill at 8 pm. Arrive early and bring a partner, or not. There’s plenty of people to dance with. I PROMISE you, you will have a blast! And the cost of the lesson will be the best $10 bucks you’ll ever spend.

House Bar & Grill is located at: 27911 Jefferson Avenue, Temecula 92590

Oh, and one more thing a few readers may be thinking as they read this, if you have two left feet, have never taken a dance lesson, don’t even know what Bachata is, even more reasons to show up. You will come away with a left foot and a right foot, the best dance lesson you will ever have, and you’ll know the meaning of Bachata and the meaning of a really fun time.

Carlos is a gem. Such a sweet man, was so kind to me the first day I met him when we were both teaching at a gym in Murrieta. I miss working with Carlos, he’s always smiling, always genuine. …and I miss waiting for my class that followed his and watching all the women (ALL ages I’m talkin!) lining up to watch him teach, often too nervous to approach him and hop in his class because he is such a doll. Best wishes to you and your endeavors Carlos 🙂 Keep on packin the house! Xo
