This is one of a long list of great experiences that would not have occurred had we not been in social isolation. I had never seen the Queer Eye series on Netflix until my daughter told me about an episode in which a music teacher, Mrs. Dooley, just 2 hours south of where I grew up, has a makeover. And that's not all. I was intrigued.

Brittany Runs a Marathon, Sundance Film Festival Audience Award Winner, is an Amazon Original now on Prime Video. Written and directed by Paul Downs Colaizzo, in his directorial debut, it stars Jillian Bell as less-than-healthy, fun-loving life-of-the-party. The movie is not quite as predictable as it seems in the beginning in this very relatable comedy with some deeper-meaning undertones.

Some Good News or SGN, the brainchild of actor, director, and comedian John Krasinski, has been keeping spirits high during the ongoing world pandemic.
As many great creative endeavors go, it started as a very basic attempt to bring warm and fuzzy clips of people being kind to one another with signage and props made by his young daughters. If you are moved by nature, architecture, history, culture, restoration, conservation, recycling, sustainaility, building, craftsmanship, innovation, creativity, ingenuity, and the sort, you are going to love this series.
I have only seen three of the first season's episodes and am completely hooked. I already want to go back and watch these three again, but am also anxious to see what is in store with the other episodes.
