♥ What the heck is a 5 Heart Rating? ♥

"A real life is not getting what you want; the achievement, the privilege, too, is knowing what you love." ~ Marisa de los Santos

5 Heart Rating was created with the intent to bring only positive attention to people, places, and things in this world that have made that extra effort to be the very best they can possibly be.

Sanders Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels

As an early teen my best friend in Florida was from Michigan and always talked about Sanders (pronounced saun-ders) hot fudge. I was a bit of a hot fudge sundae freak so she was very excited to share a jar she had gotten from a friend visiting from Michigan. (At the time you could only get it in Michigan. Like Coors beer around the same time.) So when I found Sanders Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels at Costco I had to try them. And as expected, like the hot fudge sauce, they were delicious! This book is not only no exception but I also highly Read more [...]

Furoshiki (Cloth-wrapping)

Furoshiki, the Japanese traditional art of wrapping gifts, or really just about anything, in cloth, is one of the best takeaways from my experience with the culture. I have been wrapping things in furoshiki for about 35 years and have to say it is one of the most clever practices ever. Leave it to the Japanese to come up with it.

Furoshiki of course has been practiced Read more [...]
